Vintage Inspired Furniture is a big part of Vintage Hen, and now that artistic knowledge is ready to be shared with the public at our very first DIY Vintage Furniture Painting class. Customers have been asking for a few years if Little Red Hen would ever host a tutorial, showing off how to distress and paint your own furniture. Now, thanks to a much larger space over at Tools & Trade, that class finally became a reality.
Vintage Hen uses Maison Blanche Paint to bring their pieces to life. This versatile and easy-to-use paint adheres to any surface instantly. Unlike traditional paint, it doesn't require any primers, sanding, or other prep to get started. Its chemical-free, making it safe for indoor and outdoor use. It is also safe to use around kids and pets. And best of all, it dries quicker than other paint.
Everyone who attended this quaint and unique painting class got to take home their own distressed wood frame. Vintage Hen Assistant Manager Poppy says that while there is no difference in painting large and small pieces, larger pieces like furniture are easier for teaching purposes, because of a bigger area to work with. While this is Vintage Hen's first class, it's high demand means that there will be one like it the future.
