Interview with Little Red Hen's Teresa Wolk Hayes
Teresa Wolk Hayes is the executive director and founder of Little Red Hen. With the help of the local businesses, children, families, teachers, and friends, she soon had a successful plant nursery in downtown Chico. "It takes a village", she said. The nursery would be followed by several locations such as The Gift Shop with fun unique products for all ages. Kids & Kitchen with a variety of quality items for every kitchen style. Vintage Hen which has gathered items from across the country. Also Floral & More, a beautiful, local florist, using the finest fresh flowers for any holiday or event arrangements. Early intervention programs, social groups, and educational activities are also among Little Red Hen's available resources.
Teresa has dedicated her life to helping others, and her passion has spawned so much more than just businesses. It spouted awareness, support, self-esteem, education, and most importantly it has forever changed the lives of many people in our community.
