Interview with Little Red Hen's Teresa Wolk Hayes
Teresa Wolk Hayes is the executive director and founder of Little Red Hen. With the help of the local businesses, children, families, teachers, and friends, she soon had a successful plant nursery in downtown Chico. "It takes a village", she said. The Plant Nursery would be followed by several locations such as the Gift Shop with fun unique products for all ages, as well as the Kitchen Store with a variety of quality items for every kitchen style. We also have Vintage Hen, Floral & More, and a variety of adult programs. Early intervention programs, social groups, and educational activities are also among Little Red Hen's available resources.
Teresa has dedicated her life to helping others, and her passion has spawned so much more than just businesses. It sprouted awareness, support, self-esteem, education, and most importantly it has forever changed the lives of many people in our community.
