New Year's resolutions

New Year’s day allows people to start fresh. It’s also a time when we all start to think about goals and what we want out of life. Some people want to travel, some try out new foods or restaurants, while others just want to get back to doing their favorite hobbies.

Here are some of the thoughts and goals from Little Red Hen employees:

Sam De. from the Home Annex says his goal is to “Be healthier” he has started working towards this by “drinking smoothies for breakfast.” Health is one thing everyone thinks about when they start off the year., of course, maintaining your health can always be a challenge, far too often people say they want to run a marathon or lose 50 pounds without thinking about the steps involved with getting there. Small manageable goals are better because you can knock them out quick and use them as stepping stones to a healthier happier life.

Sam is, of course, not only the only person who wants to be healthier this year. Jodi D. of the Home Annex has spent years working out at the gym to maintain a healthy weight, and she has no plans to slow down. Jessica L. of LRH Floral also wants to focus on her health in 2024. Jessica is an athlete, and knows the benefits of exercise firsthand. Newsletter writer and Floral Delivery Driver Sam Di. also plans to focus on his health, specifically by managing cholesterol.

Along with focusing on their physical health, a lot of Little Red Hen employees want to work on other aspects of their lives. Several Little Red Hen employees want to read more, experience new places, and be more positive.

Both Brian B. and Meghean S. are interested in traveling. Brian has plans to go to Hawaii, while Meghean is looking to go someplace new and exciting; somewhere she has never been before. William M. is also interested in new experiences, particularly by partaking in new restaurants.

Its important to carve out time for yourself and others. Hallie G., the supervising manager of several LRH locations, is dedicated to supporting her whole team. However, it’s important to support yourself as well. Kyle H. of Tools and Trade wants to build a better schedule for himself, so that he can be there more for his team.

Above all, it’s important to enter into the new year with a positive mindset. Meghean S. plans to be “the best human being I can be,” something we should all strive for by just being positive.

Happy New Year!
