Oh, the Places a Picker Will Go! - Pickin' Along CA State Route One

With the temperatures here in Chico hitting triple digits early this year, our Vintage Hen picking team headed south in search of cool vintage treasures and possibly some cool coastal weather.  We hit the road early on a Sunday morning to take advantage of each precious picking minute, hitting Vacaville just when the shops were opening their doors.  Most of the smaller thrifts were closed, but Goodwill and Savers are always open and we scoured...

Creative Customers: A Cameo Creation Collection

We love it when customers tell us how happy they are to have found items in our shop. We often receive great stories and photos, and it's so wonderful to ship some one an item that is perfectly unique for them and that they absolutely must have. Oh, The Places a Picker Will Go- Oregon Road Trip

We left sunny Chico at 8:00 A.M and began to head towards our final destination, Eugene Oregon. The hen house looked a little dull in our fabulously colorful Park & Garden, so of course we had to do something about that. We thought mosaic was the way to go to make it more interesting. Mosaic is always...

Come one, come all!

The much-anticipated, extensively-planned, long-time awaited Little Red Hen Children’s Carnival was a huge success! For over two years, I have wanted more events that invite the community into the Little Red Hen world to see what we are all about. The Children’s Carnival not only accomplished that, it also celebrated the children in our programs (past & present). We had a great turnout of children and teens who have been a part of our family...
