Chico Octoberfest and Vintage
The Month of October in Chico has several events going on downtown. Not only will Halloween be coming at the end and everyone will be able to get lots of candy, but Downtown Chico will be serving as home to two other events as well during this festive month. The Art and Wine Walk on the 4th, and the Harvest Side Walk Sale going on from the 11th to 12th.
Art and Wine Walk
Coming on Friday, October 4th, Little Red Hen will be hosting a marvelous set of paintings, sculptures, and other crafts produced by local artist Jim Williams as well as Straw House Cellars for wine tasting. There will also be free receptions at a variety of downtown locations where you can view local artists, taste wine from 10 different wineries, enjoy food, and listen to local music by Chico Saxophone Quartet, Sparklers, Jazz Impressions, Trinity Accordion, and Herd on Third. Familiar Chico locations such as Art Etc, Kirks Jewelry and our friends at Sierra Nevada Brewery will be stops on this tour of culture.
Side Walk Sale
Prices are FALL-ing in Downtown Chico! The Harvest Sidewalk Sale is a great chance to get an early start on your holiday shopping. Little Red Hen Vintage is one of the many shops to be participating in this sale and we will have a wide variety of our favorite items on display. Many other shops Downtown will be moving their products out their sidewalk, allowing customers to get a better look at some of their highlighted products. There will be plenty of cool swag to be had so be sure to come by and check it out.
Treat Street
Finally comes the day kids look forward to the most in October, Halloween. Treat Street is a longstanding tradition in Chico. This safe trick or treating alternative is a popular Halloween pastime for our local community. Over 90 shops in Downtown Chico will be participating in this event including Little Red Hen Vintage. Take your costumed ghoul into one of the shops to get a piece of Halloween Candy for their treat bag. The frightfully good times go through from 2-5.
With so many fun events coming up this October, you're sure to find one to try, or even try them all. It's a great time to get out in the beautiful Fall weather and enjoy this Halloween season.
