Special Olympics Athlete- Jessica L.

Jessica L. has been with the company for 16 years and has participated in Special Olympics for even longer. Jessica has played golf since she was just 10 years old, and it has taken her to some remarkable places recently. 

If you read the latest issue of our newsletter, then you know Jessica just competed in the Special Olympics USA Games. In early June, Jessica joined hundreds of competitors in Orlando, Florida. Jessica competed and succeeded on an international level, coming in 5th for golf on a 9-hole alternate shot course and earning a medal.

This was obviously a huge win, and simply participating in the USA games is something she has always wanted to try. Jessica told Special Olympics officials that "The USA Games means I get to represent my home team of Butte County. I am proud and grateful to be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime event. "

Just a few short months ago, Jessica told us that she would like to encourage others to follow their hearts and goals as well. In the future, Jessica plans to continue participating in Special Olympics for a long time, and we look forward to seeing what she accomplishes.
