Haunted House Display now at Vintage Hen!

Multiple Little Red Hen locations recently came together to create an awesome Halloween display! This spook-tacular Haunted House was made by Little Red Hen staff from Kitchen Store, Vintage Hen, and Floral & More. The inspiration for this spook-tacular house came from an idea from Little Red Hen Kitchen Store Instructor Mickey. The design is modeled after a Putz House, a traditional German decoration normally used during Christmas time. These houses are typically made of paper or cardboard, decorated with fake snow and glitter. For Vintage Hen's Halloween Haunted House display, the new design was fashioned after the Adams Family house and the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. 

 Joelle from Little Red Hen Floral & More led staff in painting and glitter, while pieces of the house were spray painted with black by Kevin & other Kitchen Store staff. Cellophane was added to give the appearance of chilling orange light coming in from the windows.  

This unique haunted house was made to come together like a puzzle; consisting of a main tall spire, two long side towers, and a rear sectional building. After two weeks of planning, painting, and cutting by Kitchen Store and Floral & More the Halloween display was finally ready to be sent over to its new home.

Vintage Hen staff Herman & Instructor Mikey assembled the interlocking pieces. All the finishing touches on this hauntingly cool house were added until it was ready for all to see! With Halloween just around the corner, be sure to stop by Vintage Hen to see this Haunted House before it vanishes.
