Eat Healthy- Be Healthy- An Apple A Day

Hello everyone! Here is a great-tasting, feel-good recipe for you. This healthy apple crisp will taste good, and it will make you feel good.

Recipe for Healthy Apple Crisp:

Ingredients:

4 cups apples, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch thick pieces-about 1 pound

1Tbsp. Coconut oil, melted

½ tsp. Cinnamon

¼ tsp. Ground ginger

¼ tsp. Nutmeg

1 cup old fashioned oats

⅓ cup pecans, chopped

2Tbsp. Coconut oil

1Tbsp. Maple syrup

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 and prepare a greased 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Peel and cut apples into ¼ inch-thick slices.
  3. Melt coconut oil. Toss apples with coconut oil, cinnamon, and ginger. Set aside.
  4. Mix together crisp topping.
  5. Pour the apples into a baking dish. Layer the crisp topping evenly on top of the apples.
  6. Cover the apple crisp with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and bake for another 10 to 20 minutes. Until the apples are fork-tender and the crisp topping is golden brown, makes 4 servings.
